For their time, those 225 slant 6's were an amazing reliable engine.  Don't expect to win any drag races, but few of those big, fast, loud V-8's could hold up like those lil 6's.

Cars my Dad owned (at one time or another from what I can remember):              1965 Dodge Dart (225/ slant 6), 1964 Chevy Corvair (he flipped it), 1957 Chevy Belair (nice car !), 1966 Pontiac Bonniville ( big blue "boat"), another Dodge dart (1969 - 225/slant 6), there was a 1965 Chrysler Imperial that had a bad tranny and sat in the street for long periods of time........a couple of other bombs.  Too many junkers !
