I remember very well! My mom shopped at both and I shopped at Pantry Pride in my late teens & early 20s, ca. 1973 - ? Remember you could smoke in the store?

There was a Food Fair behind our house (on Edwin Ave) on Linwood Ave in Fort Lee, NJ...I remember as a young boy going there with my mom in the early 50s...

I think you meant "Pantry Pride"... unless they sold lingerie instead of food

Food Fair was Safeways failed attempt to enter the NYC market in the late 50's.
