Joanne, I'm fairly sure the Service Merchandise was in Colonial Commons where the Marshall's is currently located. (The plaza might've been a different name at the time, though.) The same plaza had a Montgomery Ward near Homegoods' spot.

Does anyone remember where Service Merchandise in Harrisburg was located. My 37-year-old daughter is convinced that it was at Colonial Commons but that didn't exist when SM was there. I recall it being off of Paxton St. a block back and catty corner from the nursing home.

Along with Best, these were the stores where you ordered from the catalog onsite and then you picked it up.
