Alan: Duh!!!!! Lincoln Park is in East St Louis....turning 70 in July affords me the privelage of getting things confused every now and then. ROFL The Zoo is also in Forest Park (and if I'm wrong on that - it's off to the Old Folks Home for me - LOL) After I was discharged, I lived on Arkansas St and worked at Intertherm on Theresa St for about year before moving back home to Wisconsin.
CJ, the Muny is in Forest Park. Sad to say, this year's schedule was canceled because of covid 19.

Alan: Haven't heard that name (Muni Opera) in ages. In the early 70's while stationed at Scott AFB (across the river from St. Louis) I went to the Muni to see "Music Man" starring Peter Marshal who hosted Hollywood Squares. If my "Old Memory" still works - that's by Lincoln Park? Right?
Now, you can't even get into a movie theatre for $8 in most cases, at least not for a first-run movie...
And they wonder why except for huge blockbusters, theatres have like 7 people per showing... And even for the huge blockbusters, maybe 15 people per showing on the 2nd weekend...

According to a 2007 Wall Street Journal article I've seen, by 1968, prices had skyrocketed such that the top tickets cost $11. Whoa!
