My parents (especially my dad) loved shopping at Sears and at that time (late 50's to mid 60's) there was just one Sears store. We would drive at least 20 minutes to get there. One time, we went and there was an Allstate car on display, I was about 8 or 9, just couldn't quite get my head around a car on display inside Sears. I was so concerned how they got it in there and how they were going to get it out. By the early 70's, there was a Sears at the mall near us, and my dad loved that it was closer. And this last fall, 2017, I'm retired and they closed that original Sears Store. I actually went in the store and it was just so damn sad to see how it had ended up.

Imagine buying a car at Sears! It's no wonder they weren't successful. It was just a rebadged Henry J, but wouldn't it be interesting to run across one today?
