My father bought ours back in 1958 at Flyod Bennett's Department store in Brooklyn, NY. It took great pictures, and we could see them so fast! Not sure what became of the camera as my mother's "stuff" was confiscated by my sister when she went into a nursing home..
Any time. As a one-time aspirant to become a network 1940's-style radio announcer, I've always been interested in people like Kirby and his ilk, most of whom went on to become well-known TV personalities in their own right.

I heard a story on NPR (I think it was "Marketplace") that a company has bought the Polaroid name and is going to go into the same business as the original company. So maybe you'll be able to get some new film after all.
Had one of these in the late 60's. It was my first camera. A Polaroid 'swinger'. Funny thing is.....I still have it. MInd you I haven't seen the film for sale in a long time.
I was TERRIFIED by the tube of chemical fixative that you rolled across the surface of the exposed picture....I read just enough to see that there were warnings about not getting it on your skin and (in my head) was certain it would eat through your skin!

It was to "fix" the emulsion after the picture developed.
Still have my parents' (1956? 1958? Model 150?) Polaroid Land Camera and original carrying case.
