Oh my God - the memories come flooding back. My pediatrician had this and "Children's Digest" in his waiting room. Do I remember this - The Timbertoes, Goofus and Galant, What's Wrong with this Picture?...

Always on the waiting room table at my orthodontist's office so naturally I was prejudiced against it. Remember molar bands (pounded on ith a hammer and chisel) and night braces ?

Never liked this as a kid because it felt like being in school. It had no sense of adventure or fun.

In the Highlights publication, there was the drawing with hiddens objects that you had to locate (e.g. - find the comb ). There was a Goofus and Gallant "cartoon" showing proper behavior vs. rude behavior. There was a page with childrens drawings with the name and age of the child that did the drawing.......so many good artists I thought !
